In rural areas, many aspiring entrepreneurs possess skills and ideas but lack access to formal financial institutions due to low income, limited documentation, or lack of awareness. NGOs bridge this gap by providing need-based financial support and handholding to help individuals start or expand small businesses.
Why Entrepreneurship & Business Skill Development?
India, with its burgeoning youth population and dynamic market environment, stands at the cusp of economic transformation. However, the potential of its demographic dividend remains underutilized due to a lack of adequate entrepreneurship and business skills. The Global Entrepreneurship Monitor (GEM) 2022-23 report reveals that India’s Total Early-Stage Entrepreneurial Activity (TEA) rate is 16.3%, indicating a substantial need for structured entrepreneurship programs.
